BLIGHTED PROPERTY: Creates a statewide taskforce to study and make recommendations on implementing a comprehensive plan to address property blight within the state.

LEGISLATIVE SESSIONS: Requests appointment of a committee to notify the House of Representatives that the Senate is ready to adjourn sine die.

WEAPONS: Creates the Task Force on Secure Firearm Storage.

COMMENDATIONS: Commends and congratulates Tami McClure, head coach of the Zachary High School girls basketball team, for earning The Advocate's "Star of Stars Girls Coach of the Year" honor.

COMMENDATIONS: Commends Dr. Lawrence Dewayne Hardy for his exceptional leadership, guidance, and prayer during the 2026 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature.

EMPLOYMENT: Creates the Louisiana Livable Wage Task Force.

EDUCATION DEPARTMENT: Requests the state Department of Education to make certain information available to the public.

CONTRACTS: Requests the division of administration to report on certain state contracts executed within the past 10 years.

COMMENDATIONS: Commends and congratulates Dr. Jasper Roper Jr. for fifty years of dedicated and distinguished service to Christian Bible College.

COMMENDATIONS: Commends and congratulates Renita Williams Thomas, MSN, RN, upon being named the 2026 Executive of the Year by Greater Baton Rouge Business Report.

SPECIAL DAY/WEEK/MONTH: Recognizes Friday, May 29, 2026, as Youth Legislature of Louisiana Day at the Louisiana State Capitol.

MOTOR VEHICLES: Directs the Department of Public Safety and Corrections, office of motor vehicles to study options for regulating and reducing fees charged by licensed driver education and training schools operating in Louisiana.

UTILITIES: Creates the Utility Assistance Coordination Task Force to study and make recommendations regarding coordination of utility assistance programs in the state.

LEGISLATION: Limits the number of resolutions or prefiled bills a member may file during any annual session.

VETERANS: Directs the Department of Veteran Affairs to submit a report annually to the Legislature outlining the length of time between discharge of military and a claim for services.

COMMENDATIONS: Commends and congratulates the Honorable Foster L. Campbell Jr. on the occasion of fifty years of continuously holding elective office in Louisiana, first as state senator and currently as Public Service Commissioner.

CONDOLENCES: Expresses sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Troy Carter, general manager of Chicken Shack restaurant, on his passing.
